Are you a parent to a toddler? Do you need information on how to effectively teach your baby about the potty? Then stay tuned as you learn the effective ways in teaching kids potty training. The 3 stages to potty training is bladder, bowel and night control. The key to mastering it is by starting at the right time. Start training when you see your child uncomfortable with a full nappy. You may decide to head on to toilet training or use a potty. Or you may also want to try to buy some roll-up pants or training pants and give children the practice they need in getting underwear on and off. Encourage your child to sit in the potty for a reasonable amount of time but do not insists if you're child becomes fidgety and gets up. Instead, remind him/her to go to the potty when she needs it. Watch out for tell tale signs that he/she needs to go to the potty such as fidgeting and walking strangely. Reward your child's success but remind him/her that this needs to be done every time he/she needs to go to the toilet. Don't get stressed or depressed if things are not working as this may affect your success in training your child. Get your toddler into the habit of washing their hands after going to the toilet. When your child is having several dry nappies in a row you can start switching to training or grown-up pants at night. If wet nights continue, it may indicate that your child is not yet ready and try again in a month's time or when you see dry nappies in the morning.
